Meet Shaylyn (Shay)

Shay is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Shay has 10 plus years experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and related disabilities. Shay is also well-versed in treating adult-aged clients. Shay uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support client's in reaching their goals. 

Shay went to the University of Connecticut where she received her bachelor's degree. She graduated with her masters in clinical counseling psychology from Assumption University. Shay completed her certification in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. 

Shay looks to support clients with a variety of symptoms and diagnoses. Shay loves incorporating spirituality into counseling for clients that practice Christianity--though all are welcome! 

Specializes in: Autism, Mood Disorders, Vocational Training, ADHD, Trauma, BIPOC/ Race Relations, and Christian Counseling. 

 

Counseling note: Though Shay is a BCBA, these psychotherapy interventions are not behavioral in nature and are not covered by her BACB certification. Counseling services are covered under Shay's LPC certification and are purely mental health services/ psychotherapy services.

Assessment services do include behavior analytic services/intervention.
